Despite twenty years of play and tome,
We were merely strangers.
Most paths hardly crossed,
Let alone knowledge of one’s existence.
Yet, more than a thousand miles from home,
We became brothers and sisters.
Congregating at one famous delta,
Like tributaries of all great rivers.
What a carnival of personalities,
That never fails to amaze me.
Some more intriguing than the rest,
All of which mattered - nonetheless.
Here, we gain experience and wisdom like hungry miners,
For harvest, we’ll have to go through thick and thin.
May old mindsets wither like trees in winter,
And new characters to blossom like flowers in spring.
The journey’s finish may loom like a novel’s ending,
Let’s hope it’s not the end of the story.
A mere period it will definitely be,
To open a new chapter for you and me!
